My research interests regards digital media (smartphones, social media, videogames) in adolescence. I’m interested in both positive and negative behaviors associated with the use of these devices and I’m mostly focused on contextual aspects that precedes their use. For example, how parental technology use is associated with their children media use. Again, how one’s social media use is influenced by their friends. I mostly conduct survey research, both using first-hand data and epidemiological ones. I’m a member of the Health Behavior in School-aged Children (HBSC; https://hbsc.org/) international group, which is a cross-national research study into the health and well-being of adolescents across Europe and North America, conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe.
