Mohammad Ahsan Khodami

I am a PhD candidate in general psychology, specializing in vision, visual attention, and computational modeling, with a focus on visual adaptation, visual processing speed, and temporal mechanisms. My doctoral research employs contingent scotomas, EEG, and eye tracking, and also addresses methodological considerations. My project is funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) program under the supervision of Professor Luca Battaglini. I completed a seven-month research stay at the Scene Grammar Lab, led by Professor Melissa Le-Hoa Vo, at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Additionally, I have remotely collaborated with the Visual Attention Lab, Professor Jeremy Wolfe at Harvard Medical School, exploring aspects of visual search.

Beyond my scientific contributions, I am a proficient Python developer. I have developed several scientific software packages, including SCIA (Single-Case Investigation and Analysis Package), etformat (a package for preprocessing and converting EDF eye tracking data files), and PRPIP (a psychologically-inspired package for pupil reconstruction in eye tracking data), among other tools accessible on my website at khodami.info. You can also find a list of my publications, codes and packages on my personal web-page. During my PhD I had the chance to participate in several international conferences including ECVP and presented my works in Aberdeen, Scotland and Mianz, Germany.

Besides my academic work, I am passionate on coding, specifically Python, Web-design and I have also taught few courses, and thanks to the opportunities I have been given, I have established connection and collaboration with many scholars all around the world leading to few computational and methodological works currently under review at prominent journals in the field, including Psychological Methods and Behavioral Research Methods.
