Call for admissions is managed at the University of Padua’s level, not at the level of the individual PhD courses. Therefore, official application information and deadlines are provided at the “PhD Programmes Calls and Admissions” webpage on the main University of Padua website
While precise info on current calls is provided through the dedicated webpage, you can expect about the following key dates and deadlines every year:
• New call published: Usually April.
• Application Opening (online portal): Usually between April to early May each year.
• Deadline for Submission: Usually mid-May.
• Expected Decision Notifications: Based on the selection timeline, which can vary across years, but usually between June and July.
• Enrollment: Usually before late July.
• Start of the PhD calendar: Currently the 1st of November.

Once the call is open, the actual Application Process is managed through the Nation-based (Italian) CINECA platform
Application fee
A fee of € 30 will be required to complete the application, when applying through the CINECA platform
Be on time!
Late applications or incomplete submissions will not be considered

Guidance for International Students

Degree recognition
Foreign degrees must be equivalent to a Master’s in Italy and grant access to PhD programs in the awarding country.
