Daria Alexia Ardelean

I began my research journey in organisational psychology, exploring how positive psychology interventions can support future entrepreneurs. During my master’s studies in clinical psychology, my focus shifted toward cognitive aging and individual differences, and how these factors influence the effect of cognitive interventions.

Professionally, I spent several years in the startup ecosystem in Timișoara, Romania, where I learned to thrive in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments. That experience taught me how to identify growth opportunities, build collaborative teams, and manage complex projects, skills I now aim to apply in scientific research.

I am a registered clinical psychologist in Romania and am currently continuing my psychotherapy training. I value the close connection between clinical practice and research and strive to maintain a translational perspective. I care deeply that research questions are clinically meaningful and that empirical findings inform real-world interventions.

I am also an advocate for open science. I believe that progress in psychology depends on collaboration, transparency, and reproducibility, and I aim to contribute by developing and sharing resources that others can use and build upon.

Beyond research, I find balance in activities that foster reflection and creativity. I enjoy spending time in nature and learning to play the piano, a practice that keeps me grounded and reminds me of the value of patience and persistence in any learning process.
