I have a background in Cognitive Psychology and a specialization in Learning Disabilities Psychopathology. My main interests are learning mechanisms in children and adults and related evidence-based interventions.
How can we better understand typical and atypical development—specifically reading acquisition and its difficulties—and identify which interventions are most effective in specific conditions?
During my PhD, I’m focusing on how cognitive, linguistic, and environmental factors interact to support or hinder learning across development, both in school settings and clinical contexts. Integrating behavioral assessments, standardized tests, and intervention studies, I collaborate with schools, clinicians, and other research labs. This allows me to study learning in both real-life environments and controlled research settings. My key areas of work include:
• Clinical Assessment,
• Cognitive Skills,
• Metacognition and Metacomprehension,
• Learning and Cognitive Interventions,
• New Technologies to evaluate and treat Learning Abilities.
Alongside my academic work, I enjoy presenting my research at conferences and engaging with educational and clinical communities to share psychological knowledge and promote evidence-based practices.
