My main research interests focus on Intellectual Disability, particularly Down syndrome, with an emphasis on the interplay between Executive Functions, Cognitive Abilities, and Adaptive Behavior across development in this population. My doctoral research aims to provide an integrated understanding of how executive and cognitive processes contribute to adaptive outcomes in individuals with Down syndrome from preschool to school age. My work seeks to clarify these relationships, with the ultimate goal of informing assessment practices and guiding the development of tailored interventions that promote autonomy and everyday functioning in individuals with intellectual disabilities.
