I am a Doctoral Candidate within the DEMINE European Joint Doctorate program. During the first year of my PhD, I will conduct two studies: (1) A systematic review and meta-analysis on school-based interventions aimed at preventing or mitigating targeted violence and (2) the implementation of an adapted version of the German school-based intervention HateLess in high schools in Padova tailored to Italian culture and language.
I will spend the second year of my PhD at Aarhus University in Denmark, where I will focus on communication and media studies. I am going to conduct a questionnaire to better understand which social groups are more commonly affected by hate speech. Additionally, I aim to design an online tool to promote critical thinking and media literacy, intergroup empathy, and democratic values.
My background in Multilingual Communication Management (MA) and English and History (BA) has equipped me with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of cultural and educational dynamics. These diverse experiences enhance my interdisciplinary approach to studying adolescents’ susceptibility to extreme discourse, helping me bridge insights from psychology, education, and linguistics in intercultural and multilingual contexts.
